Featured are Jerimiah and Wendy Choi, Tim and Cindy Buhler, Bill Derksen, Loren and Donna Entz, Hermann and Amalia Woelke, Nelson Assis, Mary Jane Assis, Isaak Bergen, Buddy Dyck, Larson, Jonathan, George and Rena Kroeker. This collection is about conscientious objectors and alternative service, including the men working at Camp Giekie, posing for photos at the camp, out on the job (tree planting, snag falling) eating, their living quarters etc. Also included is a photo of personnel at Camp Q7 (Loveland Lake, Campbell River, BC). Also some photos of a reunion in 1986.
MCC Slide Presentation-The Village of My An 1883-1981
This slide show consisting of 156 black and white and color slides depicts 100 years of history of Vietnam through the village of My An. It comes in two parts. Part one has 76 slides and part 2 has 80 slides. Depicted is farming practices (planting, harvesting, irrigation), occupied by the French and French rule enforced. Common uprising lead by Ho Chi Minh in 1945 which lead to 2 national governments (divided geographically) one with socialist leaning ideals. The Americans became involved and fearful of the socialist ideals and thus began the Vietnam war. The photos show the people in the various time frames, their situation, their resistance and the military hardware and personal used against them. Included is a script but the audio cassette is missing. Produced by Centre for South and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Michigan.

This 20 item color slide show depicts a typical girl in the counties of Canada, Kenya, Philippines, and Thailand focusing on their physical surroundings and their economic realities and how MCC's Self-Help crafts (later known as Ten Thousand Villages) program helps these people. Life in a refugee camp, basket weaving, etc. are shown. Included is a script and an audio cassette #2546. Note: Slide number 1 is missing.

MCC Canada Slide Presentation-I Caught a Glimpse of Christ Today
This slide show consists of 79 color slides of MCC's Voluntary Service program in Canada. Included with the slides is a script. The photos depict MCC voluntary service people in various locations working in an office, gardening, woodworking, child care etc. The photos were taken between 1980-1981 and gathered together in this form in 1982. Some of the photos were taken by Robb Nickel and Allan Kroeker. An audio cassette of the script can be found in the audio cassette collection #2320. -- Note: Numbers 4,6,9,11-13,24,27,38, 40-42 are missing.

This slide show consists of 80 color slides depicting the landscape, MCC volunteers, the people and the gardens people planted in the communities of Pinedock, Bloodvein, Sachigo Lake, Ponask, Muskrat Dam between 1959-1982. Some photos were taken by Menno Wiebe, Laura Loewen and Keith Moyer and put together in this format in 1983 by Menno Wiebe and Kathy Sawatzky. Included is a script and an audio cassette #2323.
