Used in the CM 5-4-3. The first baptism since the General Conference Mennonite missionaries began work among migrants in Eloy, Arizona took place Dec. 2, 1956. The candidates are: Betty Clark, Mary Odom, Bessie Odom, Billy Odom and Rosie Odom. The photo was submitted by Elsie Heppner from Waldheim, Sask. See also 2010-14.399.

Formal photograph. A baptismal group at Ta-Ya Mennonite Church. The six women and two men in the front two rows were baptized in confession of faith on June 20, 1965 by Reverend Hugh D. Sprunger. Not found in CM.

Used in the CM 3-29-6. Group photo of members of the first Mennonite Church organized in Jamaica at Constant Springs near Kingston. Eleven converts were baptized and 16 other persons received into the church. This missionary work was begun by Rev. D. H. Loewen and his wife of Altona, Manitoba.

Used in CM 12-14-9. Four persons baptized on confession of their faith in the Nobeoka Japan church. L-r: Junji Kanai and Chizuko Katakabe, both high school graduates and Mr. and Mrs. Akira Sugiyama, both university trained and parents of a young daughter who stands between them.
Used in CM 11-19-2. Eleven persons were baptized and became members of the Po-Ai Mennonite Church in Hualien on Apr. 14. Evangelist Sai (at far left), pastor of the church, had charge of the service.
