Four generations of Heinrich (Henrick) Klippenstein 1849 and Sara Friesen 1852 family. Heinrich Klippenstein's father Johann Klippenstein was deacon of the Bergtaler Church in Russia for 39 years. Johann Klippenstein was the son of Bernard Klippenstein. Heinrich was born October 1849 in Bergtal, Russia and died 12 Feb 1929 in Altona. Sara Friesen was born 22 March 1852, died 15 Nov. 1932 Heinrich was 25 years old when and his wife came to the West Reserve and settled in Bergtal.

Cornelius B. Loewen descendants

Four generations of Cornelius B. Loewen. He had 16 children. His father Cornelius came to Canada in 1874 and settled in Gruenfeld, when Cornelius B. was 11 years old. Cornelius B. Loewen farmed close to Steinbach and later in Prairie Rose. He also had a a business in Morris and was the owner of a large threshing machine in Steinbach and a saw mill.

Five generations of Gerhard Martens family. Gerhard was the 2nd oldest son of Jakob Martens b. 1795 and Helena Dyck b. 1811 He was born 18 Oct 1829. His first wife was Anna Friesen b. 17 Aug 1835 d.20 Jan 1866.His second wife was Katharina Klassen b. 23 Jul 1842. He lived in the Bergtaler Colony in Russia and came to Canada with Katharina and 4 children at the age of 46 years. (1875?).

Gen 3: Sara Dueck, b. 13 Mar. 1904, with husband Dietrich J. Neudorf in Altona, 1970. They are standing in a fruit garden. She is wearing a white hat. Diedrich was the son of Jacob Neudorf born 23 Aug 1854 who came to Canada in 1925. Dietrich J. Neudorf was born 10 Jul 1901 in Osterwick, Russia.

Five generations of Johan and Elizabeth (Dyck) Neustaedter family. Johan was born 4 April 1853. His wife Elizabeth Dyck was born 5 Feb 1853. She was the daughter of Wilhelm Dyck and Elizabeth Friesen. They were married 11 Nov 1871 and resided in Chortitza , near Winkler MB. They came from Russia in 1874.

Three generations of Abram R. and Susanna Penner family. Peter Penner, 1816-1884, was the only one of his family who came to America in 1874. He was married 3 times in Russia and twice in Canada and had 25 children. His son Abram R. Penner, was born in 1847. He and his wife Margaretha Reimer had 10 children. The oldest son, also an Abram R. Penner, b. 1874, is the first generation in this set.

Photos illustrating three generations of the descendants of Heinrich W. and Anna (Wiebe) Reimer. Heinrich W. Reimer's grandfather was Abram Reimer (1808-1892), one of the sons of the founder of the Kleingemeinde Mennonite Church. Abram's son Klaas, was married 3 times and had 25 children. The Reimer family settled in Steinbach. His son Heinrich had just passed his 10th birthday when the migration to Canada took place. These photos pertain to this Heinrich ( b. 17 Jan 1864, d. 27 May 1941) and married to Anna Wiebe (b. 7 Apr 1866, d. 11 Sep 1932).
