Farm buildings on Lot 7, South Snyder Rd. Wilmot Twp.

Centre of photo contains large gray barn with horizontal siding. Roth notes "John Ernst acquired the deed to the E 1/2 of the rear from the U. of T. in 1845. In 1864 it was sold to C. Zoeger. Joseph Salzman (1st marriage Veronica Litwiller, 2m. Mabel Shantz) had this farm to . It was still in the Salzman family when the 7 & 8 highway expropriated much of the land. The barn still retains the horizontal siding."

Just to the right of the trees and a little behind them is a white building. Roth notes "Christian Boshart 1835-1847 front 50 ac.; Michael Jantzi, 1847-1887 front; Michael Jantzi, 1855-1887 rear 150 ac.; Joseph Bast 1907-1915 E 50 ac. (Sold to Peter Litwiller); Peter Nafziger 1920-1950 W 150 ac.; sold to John Nafziger".

Left side of photograph in middle ground has gray wooden barn, in centre and foreground of photo is a sign "Hiltoper Holsteins". To right of sign in middle ground is a white house. Roth notes "The house of frame construction was built after 1860. It was built in the same design (Gothic gable window and front door surrounded by glass panels) as that of Daniel and Magdalene Brenneman".
