The Russian word at the bottom left of photo is M. D. Elman (name of the photographer). The Russian word at bottom right is VOZNESENSK, the name of a Russian town most likely where the photographer lived. The stamp in blue on photo reverse is the photographer's mark. It gives name and town and the top word is Photographer.

North Star Mennonite country church 4 miles west of Drake. Dedicated 24 March 1907

North Star Country Church located 3 miles west of what would become Town of Drake. A relocated school building on same property. Entire church yard full of vintage automobiles (perhaps a conference). White markers along fence, equal distance apart, for orderly parking of vehicles. Mature trees. Utility pole on yard.
