Alice Snyder of the MCC Ontario Clothing Depot

Cropped for use in the CM 7-12-5 with other photos used by the GCMC, B. of Christian Service to promote mission work. This is the last in this series which began with 1998-14.260. Alice Snyder of the MCCO Clothing Depot is working at a pile of Christmas bundles ready for shipping. Some of the items contained in the bundles are displayed at the bottom of the photo. Aunts and uncles of Ida Millar

Written on the photograph cover: "This picture was taken in 1926 or 1927 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Millar, RR4, Kitchener (3 miles west of City Hall Kitchener on #7 Highway). Mrs. Fred Millar is the former Ida Bergey. These are her aunts and 1 uncle. The front row are hte son and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Bowman "Preacher Mose." The back row - Elizabeth Bergey is a sister of David Bergey, Ida's father. Moses Bowman - a son of Preacher Mose is dead. His wife (2nd) is the second one in the back row. Mrs. David Bergey (Louisa Bowman) is absent. Also absent is Ezra Bowman who lived in Missouri, USA. Melina Bowman and Ida Bergey entertained their aunts and uncle on this occasion."

C. J. Rempel and Lorraine Bauman

Used in the CM 9-11-5. C. J. Rempel, president of the local Gideons, presents a handicapped grade 5 girl, Lorraine Bauman, with a gold-covered New Testament at the Rotary Children's Centre on King Street in Kitchener, Ont. The Gideons International was giving these Bible to carefully selected grade 5 students in each of the local branches in honour of their 50th anniversary.
