Appalachia Housing

This is a photo of several run-down buildings on the left and a new home on the right. The new home is the result of combined efforts of several organizations. C. O. A. P., which provides financial counseling and quality low-cost construction, enables poor people in southeastern Kentucky to have adequate shelter. MCC U. Religious leaders discuss nuclear disarmament in Moscow

This is a photo of three men standing outside by a log house. They are (left to right); Karoniaktajeh (Louis Hall), Richard Zehr, Conservative Conference bishop and Kakwirakeron. Residents are becoming self-sustaining at Ganienkeh, where Mohawk Indians have established a traditional American Indian community. Karoniaktajeh is the secretary and Kakwirakeron is a leader of the group.
