Henry Dick, David Ewert, Waldo Hiebert, Larry Martens

This is a photo of the installation of Larry Martens as president of MB Biblical Seminary. On October 17, 1986, in the Reedley MB Church, where he received his call and affirmation to ministry, Larry Martens was installed as the seventh president of the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary. The Reedley church choir presented appropriate choral arrangements while seminary faculty and board members added words of challenge and encouragement. Herbert Brandt, conference moderator, addressed the assembled guests on the topic: A servant by God's grace. The installation service followed a banquet hosted by the Board of Directors of the seminary at which many schools and family members brought greetings to Larry and Kathleen (MB Herald, November 14, 1986, p. 14).
