5 Generations of Andreas Blatz family. Andreas Blatz born 1861, died 16 Oct 1934. He was the son of Daniel Blatz and Helena Penner.. Daniel was born 27 Dec 1817, died 27 Feb 1875 lived in the Berghtaler Colony Russia. His first marriage was to Helena Penner born 4 Feb 1825, . 2nd marriage to widow Mrs. Jakob Giesbrecht, (nee Helena Rempel) b. 19 Sep 1828. Andreas was born in Friedrichstal, Russia, farmed on the same farm near Steinbach, all his life. His wife Barbara Stoesz was born in Schoental, Bergthal, Col., Russia . Her parents were Cornelius Stoesz and Aganetha Wiebe.

Cornelius B. Loewen descendants

Four generations of Cornelius B. Loewen. He had 16 children. His father Cornelius came to Canada in 1874 and settled in Gruenfeld, when Cornelius B. was 11 years old. Cornelius B. Loewen farmed close to Steinbach and later in Prairie Rose. He also had a a business in Morris and was the owner of a large threshing machine in Steinbach and a saw mill.

Cornelius P. Toews, 1836 and Anna Bartel, 1838 descendants

Five generations of Cornelius P. and Anna (Bartel) Toews family Cornelius was the son of Johann Toews and Maria Plett. His first marriage was to Elizabeth Friesen,, 2nd marriage to Anna (Friesen) Bartel. Corenlius was one of the more influencial figures in the great migration of the Mennonites from Russia . He was born in Fischau, Russia and was delegated by the Kleingemeinde Church to investigate Canada as a prospective home for his family and fellow Mennonites in 1873.

Four generations of Cornelius and Mary (Braun) Warkentin Family. Cornelius immigrated to Canada and married Mary Braun. They had 9 children. Cornelius was only 35 years old when he died. Mrs. Warketin later married Frank Loewen. Her third husband was Peter Buhr.

Five generations of Abraham and Helena (Siemens) family. Abram was a capable veterinarian.
[The son Jacob b. 1833 married a Katharina Hiebert (b. 1855) as his 2nd wife, and her grandfather was Abraham (1806-1874) whose second wife was Maria Wieler (b. 1821. Thus these photographs depict 5 generations of descendants of two different Abraham Hieberts. -- ahr]

Three generations of Abram R. and Susanna Penner family. Peter Penner, 1816-1884, was the only one of his family who came to America in 1874. He was married 3 times in Russia and twice in Canada and had 25 children. His son Abram R. Penner, was born in 1847. He and his wife Margaretha Reimer had 10 children. The oldest son, also an Abram R. Penner, b. 1874, is the first generation in this set.
