Peter Gerhard Rempel's atelier

Two photos on negative. Top photo: Rempel's atelier. Rempel used only natural lighting in his studio. He controlled the light with curtains hung along the one side, and with moveable slats along the ceiling. At one time, as shown in the picture, Rempel tried to filter the light by using paint, and later white-wash, on his windows. Description from Forever Summer, Forever Sunday - Plate 35.
