50th Anniversary Display in sanctuary of Niverville Menn. Church

This photo is of the display created to be a visual during the Niverville Mennonite Church 50th Anniversary weekend. It is located on the stairs to the platform area in the front of the sanctuary, and includes vegetables, canning, bread, flowers, grains, a Bible, acorns, and a violin. The theme appears to be fall or harvest, as the event was in October.

Used in CM 10-38-10. Thanksgiving and anniversary service held for the Bethesda Home for the Mentally Ill, Sept. 16. L-r: Rev. John G. Baerg, Ontario moderator; Rev. H. P. In front of the pulpit is a Thanksgiving display of food and vegetables.

This photo is of the conductor leading the congregation in a song at the Harvest Thanksgiving Festival in the Mennonite Church in Filadelfia. The decoration at the front of the church consists of locally harvested fruits and vegetables, as well as of pictures and home-made cakes. All of these items are going to be sold at the auction held after the church service. The revenues go to different mission projects.
