This is a photograph of six young men. They are staggered from shortest to tallest, L>R. All are wearing suits and ties. Johann (John) Janz is the third from the right wearing a dark tie. The rest of the names are unknown. All except the tallest on the right have a mustache. The man second from the left has spectacles. The bottom of the photograph is white as if developed improperly.

This is a family photograph of Johann and Anna (Janzen) Janz and their two sons Gerhard and Johann. The boys are dressed alike in Russian or Cossack-style shirts with buttons running down the left side. Father Johann (John) is wearing a light coloured 3 piece suit and tie. His tie has a collar clip bar underneath. Anna is wearing a necklace and a light coloured dress.

The three seated women are wearing fur hats that could be sable. The three on the left have long stoles over their shoulders. The woman standing has a matching Persian lamb hat and muff. The woman seated at the far right has a long necklace around her collar. The women are L to R Margaretha Janzen seated separately, unknown standing, Anna Janzen and Anna Priess seated on the bench.

This is a photograph of three young women all dressed in winter coats and hats. They are L to R Katharina Priess, Anna Janzen and Marie Wiebe. [They may have been cousins.] Anna, in the centre, has a long fur stole around her shoulders. She is the oldest in this group.

This is a photograph of a couple. She is seated in a large wicker chair that has a fringed shade covering. Katharina Dyck (nee Janzen) is wearing a skirt and blouse and a straw hat. She has a necklace and a brooch at her throat. Jacob Dyck is wearing a light coloured three piece suit and cap. A cane is hanging from his wrist. This photograph looks to be taken at a resort or beach or seaside. There are several more wicker chairs in the background.

This photograph is of Jacob Dyck and Katharina Dyck (nee Janzen) and their four daughters. Standing in back L>R they are Katharina Dyck, Margaretha Dyck and Justina Dyck. Seated next to her mother is Erika Dyck. Margaretha is wearing a light-coloured, possibly white, skirt with a dark blouse trimmed with a white lace collar. The clothing of the others is dark.

This photograph is of a father and his four sons. Father, Heinrich B. Janz, is seated in the centre at a small table. The sons are: Johann, Heinrich, Peter and Jakob. Their mother was Maria (Letkemann) Janz (1857-1894. No birth dates are currently available for Heinrich, Peter and Jacob; therefore it can't be determined which one is which.

This photograph is of Heinrich Janzen and Katharina Janzen (nee Ekkert) and their daughter Margareta Janzen taken during a summer visit to Bad Nauheim, Germany in 1908. The women are dressed in light coloured clothing and hats. The father is wearing a homburg hat and has a cane. They are seated on willow furniture near a wooded area.
The letter on the reverse is written to her sister Anna.

This photograph is of seven young ladies resting under a large tree. They are students at the Maedchen Schule. All are wearing dark clothing and the youngest in front has a white apron over her dress. The names are Margareta Janzen and Lena Eckert in the front row; then unknown and Schroeder; back row M. Wiebe, Helena Unger (later a Mrs. J. Friesen) and Lena Dyck. Inscription on reverse states it was taken when "I" (unknown) was in the Maedchen Schule the first year.

This photograph is of Jacob Dyck and is wife Katharina Dyck (Janzen) and their daughters L>R Katharina Janzen, Margaretha Janzen, Erika Janzen and Justina Janzen. All are dressed in dark clothing. Erika and Justina's dresses have white collars. Jacob has a small boutonniere pinned to his left lapel and his wife Katharina has a circlet of flowers in her hair. It might be a 25th wedding photograph.
