Interior of Danzig Mennonite Church, presently Calvinist Evangelical Church

This is a photo of the interior of the former Danzig Mennonite Church, now a Calvinist Evangelical Church. A letter is included with the picture and is marked "Received December 24, 1958". The photo shows a broad center aisle flanked by wooden benches. A worn carpet leads down the center aisle to the slightly raised platform. A table voered with a crocheted cloth and decked with small flower vases stands in the center of the platform and a pulpit to the left. A large cross hangs on the wall behind the table and a candelabra hangs in front of it. 2 Bible verses - I John 1:7 and Matt. 11:28 are written in Polish flank the cross. A letter which appears to be either in a Slavic language or Gothic German.

Mennonite Hospital Corps, Wirballen (Winter, 1915)

This is a photo published in the Mennonitische Rundschau. It is a copy of a photo taken in 1915 of a group of Russian Mennonite medical corps conscripts posing beside their hospital train. They are in Wirballen in German captivity. The sentences below the picture say," This picture was kindly sent to us by Pastor Firtz Foth, Kaiserslautern, Germany, whose letter appeared on page 7 in the last edition of the "M.R." Who can send us the names of the Mennonite medics on this picture and briefly describe the group's experiences? Editor." Someone has used colored pen to identify two of the men: 2nd from left first row is a Jakob Kroeker, Neukirch, and 3rd from right - the tallest man on the picture - Willms from Tiege.
