Four years after the immigrants from Laos arrived in the Lower Fraser Valley, six Christian families covenanted to found the first Lao Christian Church in the area. Sylang Kaneboodtra was their leader, supported by Jake Giesbrecht. This dedication service was held in Emmanuel Mennonite Church, a daughter Church of Eben-Ezer Church in Abbotsford.
