25the Wedding anniversary of David and Susanna Peters

David Peters, b. 3 Oct 1915 (P-72) and his wife Susanna Dyck, b 14 March 1917, are celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Susanna's father Peter J. Dyck (1883-1969) is standing behind them. The couple are seated at a table with a wedding cake and a flower arrangement and a fruit basket on it. Susanna is wearing a dark dress and hat, David a dark suit, white shirt and a tie. Peter J. Dyck is also wearing a dark suit white shirt and tie. This is Generation 5 of the Jakob Dyck, 1773-1841 Ancestry Display.

L - R: Peter Harms 1863-1945, Margaret Bergen (nee Harms) 1871-1967, Isaac Harms, 1877, George (Gerhard) Harms 1879-1943. They are standing in front of a large cedar bush. A small ladder is leaning against a small barren tree. Peter and Isaac are wearing dark suits, George a vest, shirt and tie. Margaret is wearing a dark dress with a v neck and white brooches.

A. A. Defehr Mfg. Building is shown. Mr. Abram Albert Defehr, president of the company and Victor Kehler, shop foreman are standing by the door. A small end table is standing beside them and 3 bikes are lined up along the wall. A car is also parked beside the building..

A couple and 2 children

A fairly stout man is sitting on a chair, His top button on his jacket is buttoned and he is wearing a fur type hat. His wife is sitting on the left wearing a dark dress with white buttons down the front of the bodice. Behind her is girl , wearing a checked dress holding a small book. To the right of the father is a boy wearing a dark jacket buttoned to the top. Who are these people? Probably Penners, or Richerts orHarders or a relative of these.

A death at Mennonite Collegiate Institute

This photograph shows an outside winter scene, with buildings in the background. In the foreground are two young ladies looking down at a young lady in a coffin. They are both wearing winter coats, with big fur collars. It is indicated that this death occurred during the time when Irene Derksen from Steinbach, MB, was a student at MCI. This would probably be1944-45.
