Wilhelm and Judith Harms

Wilhelm Martens is standing outside with his wife Judith nee Penner. Wilhelm was born 23 Oct 1842, and Judith 3 Sep 1842. They emigrated to Canada about 1880. Wilhelm was elected minister in 1883. His father was Peter P. Harms 1813. Wilhelm is wearing a dark 3 piece suit and dark shirt. Judith is wearing a long black dress with buttons down the front and she has her hand in a pocket. Judith is also wearing a black lacy cap (Haube). Behind them is a fence with slanted boards and a house with 2 windows shown.

Peter and Agatha Harms

Peter Harms b 1863 is sitting on a chair outside with his wife Agatha nee Doell b. 1867 .There are more people standing behind them but they are cut off. Peter is wearing a white shirt and a vest and has a beard and mustache. Agatha is wearing a dark dress with folds in the bodice and a lacy cap (Haube). Peter was born in S.Russia and emigrated to Canada at about the age of 15. Later he moved to Saskatchewan with his wife and lived at Laird, then moved to Renata B,C. When Agatha died in 1930, Peter married Margaret Schoreder. He died in 1945.

Jakob B. Peters (1869) family and others

Gen 2: Jakob B. Peters (b.1869) and his family are seated at the extreme right of the photo. Jakob B. Peters's wife was Anna Harder. She is holding son Erdmann on her knee, son Jacob is leaning against their father, and daughter Helen is standing beside Mrs. Peters. Also on the photo are Anna Harder's siblings and parents (Heinrich Harders of Ebenfeld). Taken in 1897. In the back (left to right): Mr. & Mrs. Peter Harder (with child Helena), followed by the older children of Heinrich Harder with their spouses. In the front (left to right): Mr. & Mrs. Heinrich Harder (Sr.), Mr & Mrs. Erdman and Susan (nee Harder) Peters, and Mrs. & Mrs. Jacob B. Peters and children (as mentioned above).

Kornelius Dueck (1839-1916)

Mr. Kornelius Dueck b. 1839 is sitting on bench , wearing a dark 3 piece suit, and a black hat..He is resting each hand on a knee. Behind him is flowered wallpaper. Kornelius was born 1839, died 1916. 1st wife was Anna Esau b. 1841 d. 1888 2nd wife Widow Heinrich Hiebert 1833 - 1906. Kornelius was the son of Bernhard Dyck 1805-1875 and wife Anganetha Berg 1810-1884., and grandson of Bernhard Dyck b. 1781, whose wife Maria b. 1776, was a widow when he married her. For children of these families see Kartei. The eldest Bernard Dyck (no photo) came to Russia from Ellerwalde, Kreis Elbing, Prussia to Burwalde, Russia. His son Bernhard (no photo) lived in Burwalde, Bergthaler Colony, and the 3rd Genearioan moved to Manitoba. Kornelius is Generation 3 of the Bernhard Dyck 1791 Ancestry Display.

Martin Friesen Family

Martin Friesen b. 1836 and wife Margareta (nee Klippenstien) 1841 are sitting outside at the side of their house with children and grandchildren.Two men are sitting on the ground in front. The rest are standing except Martin and Margareta.

Isaac Wiebe 1851

Isaac Wiebe 1851(father to Katharina Wiebe 1891-1961 ( (D-70 & D-71) is sitting on a chair in a studio. He is wearing a long coat with a fur collar and a dark shirt. Beside him is a large vase with plants. Isaac was buried in Altona, Manitoba

Mr. Plett was born Dec. 24 1864 He was the son of Cornelius Plett, 1820, Poland and Lindenau Russia and the grandson of Johann Plett, 1765, Prussia.

Mr. And Mrs. Henry E. Plett are standing outside their house. Mr. Plett is holding a young child, their grandson, Norman Plett. Henry E. Plett's father was Rev. Cornelius L. Plett of Satanto, KS. Mrs. Plett is wearing a black dress and black kerchief. Mr. Plett a dark jacket and a black hat.

Cornelius Rempel b. 29 Jan 1866 (son of Johann Rempel b. 15 April 1830) is shown with his wife Katharina (nee Katharina Friesen) and two children -- son Jacob and daughter Tina (Mrs. Wm. Heinrichs). Cornelius is wearing a dark 3-piece suit and a checked shirt. Mrs. Rempel is wearing a dark dress and a lacy cap (Haube) tied in a bow. The children are wearing dark dresses with lacy white collars.
