Caption on photo says "The Hunter Family 15/11/15." According to Gordon Eby's diary, "Hunter" was a fellow patient at the Victoria Hospital in London. On back of second copy of photograph (not kept) one of the nurses is identified as Glen Denning.

Caption by Anne Eby Millar: "In order to be accepted for overseas duty Gordon had to have surgery for hernia at Victoria Hospital, London. He made many friends and took pictures of the nurses and fellow patients." The nurse's last name is possibly Simpson.

Carlings Heights, Military Camp, in London. This postcard shows the 110th, 111th, and 118th overseas battalions, as well as, the C.E.F Engineers and Y.M.C.A camp.

Children on the steps of the battalion headquarters on Courtland Ave. in Berlin hold baskets of Easter eggs and gifts for the battalion. Caption in album by Anne Eby Millar: "In April 1916 the 118th Battalion was stationed on Courtland Ave., Kitchener. Local schoolchildren marched to their headquarters to bring them Easter eggs. Always fond of children, Gordon took this opportunity to get some pictures."

Caption by Anne Eby Millar: "Born on Sept. 21, 1890, Gordon Christian Eby was destined to follow in his father's footsteps. Christian Eby took part in the Finnian [Fenian] Raids in 1866."
