This photograph shows the sadly neglected Botanical Gardens in Georgia which the Mennonite Medical workers had enjoyed when they served in this area during World War I. This recent photograph also appears on page 163 of Mennonite Alternative Service in Russia by Lawrence Klippenstein and Jacob Dick.

There are two copies of this photograph, slightly damaged. Plett, died in the South Coast Forestry Camp. The son of a Molotschna bishop. 1916. In the Crimean mountains outside of Yalta. The address of P.J. They include Abram Dick (Dueck), John Mathies, and Nikolai Peters (fourth man, standing slightly further back). The caption reads "How did the ladies get up there?"

This portrait shows a slightly older man in winter clothing and a thin cane in his right hand, seated on wooden branches with wood chips? Scattered on his overcoat. There are some more tree branches leaning against the wall behind him.
