Biographical history
Isaac "Ike" Froese (1927-2010) was born in Burwalde, Manitoba. He married Margaret Neufeld (1932) in Didsbury, Alberta in 1954. He began his career as a teacher. He first taught at the Hopi Reserve in Arizona in the 1950s. He also taught in Manitoba early in his career and then went back to Kykotsmovi, Arizona to do pastoral work. From 1974-1979 he served the Conference of Mennonites in Canada as the Executive Secretary , Native Ministries. He was actively involved in study and working with issues related to the North American aboriginal people. From 1987 to 1991, he pastured the Selkirk Christian Fellowship in Selkirk, Manitoba. He died in Winnipeg on September 8, 2010.
