Biographical history
Teacher, historian, map maker (cartographer), author. Grew up in the Rosenheim district, west of Rosenfeld, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Worked with Helmut T. Huebert to produce the "Mennonite Historical Atlas." Schroeder authored "The Bergthal Colony."

The photos in this series were taken by William Schroeder on one of his trips to Russia (Ukraine). The nine photos feature the former Alexanderwhol Mennonite Church and Tiege school for the deaf and dumb.
