This is a photo of Johann Dyck with two animals. He and his wife Maria originated from Ladekopp, but had to make ends meet after they were relocated to the Ural region (HR 268).

Maria Dyck

Many of our people were sent deep into the sparsely populated primitive forests of the north. Here we see Maria Dyck, formerly Ladekopp, in a primeval forest of the Ural region to which she had been banished. [HR 268]

A group of such exiles in the Ural region. Those that have survived find life today much easier than in the first years. Their clothing witnesses to this. The man is Otto Rauh, formerly of Sagradowka. [HR 276]
