History
- 1931: classes first held in Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church with 3 teachers and 13 students of the Mennonite Brethren and Evangelical Mennonite Brethren churches
- 1932-1936: school closed and resumed in November 1936
- 1938: a Bible school Association (Bibelschulverein) was organized, composed of members of four Mennonite churches of Steinbach and vicinity, which elected a board of directors to operate the school.
- 1939: moved into its own property and classroom building
- 1946: a high school curriculum was introduced (Steinbah Bible Academy) but dropped again
- 1953: new constitution was written and the administration changed from a Verein to a corporation of directors, and the name was changed to Steinbach Bible Institute
- 1955: moved to a new 13 acre campus just outside the town of Steinbach; offered 3 year course in Bible and theology, a two-year course in Christian education, and grades ten, eleven, and twelve (high school / university entrance curriculum).
- 1977: became a college
- 1991: received accreditation from the American Association of Bible Colleges
