MCC Slide Presentation-Corn for the Horn
This slide show consists of 44 color slides depicting the people of Ethiopia and Somalia and their difficulties due to war. Ethiopia aligned themselves with the Soviet Union and Somalia aligned themselves with the United states ensuring a constant flow of weapons into the area. Drought and later flooding compounded the situation. MCC provided relief for refugees and also development programs to help the people better use their resources. Included is a script and an audio cassette #2541.

MCC Slide Presentation-Horn of Africa
This slide show consists of 28 color and black and while slides showing the people, landscape and condition of people in the countries of Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya. This is the horn of Africa where people are suffering from weather extremes and from a long standing war between countries. These two issues cause a lot of refugees. MCC is trying to provide food aid to the people who need it and is working with the people in development through farming practices and new economic initiative such as selling crafts. Included is print material and an audio cassette (cassette #2539).
