History

Sider was an influential Canadian-American leader in the Christian community. It was his sermon at Mennonite World Conference in 1984 that spurred the formation of Christian Peacemaker Teams in 1986. Sider founded Evangelicals for Social Action. He wrote several books including “Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger” in 1977. It has been named one of the one hundred most influential books in religion in the 20th century.
