This is a photograph of the ship "Majestic" in the port of Southampton. The photograph is attributed to Johann (John) H. Janz (1890-1973). The Janz family came to Canada on the "Empress of France" arriving in Quebec 8 Aug. 1924.

This photo is of a large ship docked at Libau (Libaw) that would be used to carry Mennonites to Canada. A horse and wagon are in the foreground. a few people carry large crates up the plank to the ship. Lifeboats and a large plume of smoke leaving the ship's smoke stack can be seen.

Workers in the hold of the ship unloading wheat from Canada

This is a photo of workers in the hold of the ship "Arafura Sea", at Massawa Port, Ethiopia, bagging and unloading 2,000 metric tons of MCC Canada wheat. The wheat was shipped in bulk from the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to Ethiopia, where it was distributed by Catholic Relief Services to displaced families in Eritrea and Tigray.
