This is M.S. Tabinta ship on which the Erich Ratzlaff and his family travelled to Canada. On 19 July 1948 the family boarded the Dutch ship M.S. Tabinta in Rotterdam and disembarked in Quebec City on 29 July 1948.

This photo is taken while on board (the) ship Mauretania Jan 46, presumably bound for Canada to return Canadian soldiers back to Canada. The photo is on the top deck showing materials piled on the ship and a big plume of smoke coming from the ship's smoke stack. Some soldiers have their backs to the camera.

`Phoenix' crew members Chris Cowley and Beryl Nelson on board with a crate of medical supplies bound for the Red Cross and Buddhists in Danang, South Vietnam. The voyage is being sponsored by the Quakers. Used in CM 15-46-3.

This is a photograph of the ship "Majestic" in the port of Southampton. The photograph is attributed to Johann (John) H. Janz (1890-1973). The Janz family came to Canada on the "Empress of France" arriving in Quebec 8 Aug. 1924.

Descendants were first Mennonites to settle in Canada. Depicts ocean vessel used when Mennonites of Swiss origin emigrated to North America.
