The series consists of working notes, minutes, notes from sermons preached and heard, correspondence, minutes, reports and other church administration materials. These materials come primarily from Friesen's work at Salem Deaconness Hospital (Oregon) and Bethel Mennonite/Mission Church (Winnipeg).
