Biographical history

Ruth E. Krall is an emeritus Professor of Religion, Nursing and Psychology at Goshen College. She built the college's Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies program and served as its director for 16 years. A long-time advocate for victims of sexual harassment and abuse, between 2013 and 2014 Krall published a series of online books on religious sexual violence, entitled The Elephants in God's Living Room. In 2015, she served as convener for a newly-formed Anabaptist-Mennonite chapter of SNAP, the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. Founded in 1988, SNAP is an independent, confidential network of survivors of institutional sexual abuse and their supporters. Its mission is to "protect the vulnerable, heal the wounded, and expose the truth." In 2017, SNAP-Menno's leaders were Barbra Graber (United States) and Cameron Altaras (Canada).
