Interior of the Lutheran Church in Rottenburg

No. 12 in a 2nd set of numbered photos from the 6th Mennonite World Conference held in 1957 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Negative only, of the interior of the Lutheran Church in Rottenburg showing a larger portion of the congregation in a special memorial service held for Michael Sattler, one of the first martyrs who laid down his life for his faith in 1527. A similar photo (No. 11 on Rempel's list) with Dr. H. S. Bender in the pulpit at right, speaking at this service, was published in the CM 5-35-7, as was a photo of the memorial plaque unveiled for Michael Sattler at this service (No. 13 in Rempel's list).
