Administrative history

The Northdale Mennonite Fellowship was established when a number of families from the Springfield Heights and North Kildonan Mennonite congregations wanted to have more English-language worship and church activities. A small group began worshipping together in 1972 in rented facilities. In 1975 they officially organized as a congregation with 43 charter members. In 1978 they completed their own meeting house. The membership was 48 in 1980 and 42 in 1990. This congregation merged with the Valley Gardens Community Church, a Mennonite Brethren congregation, to form a dual-conference affiliated congregation called Jubilee Mennonite Church in 1995. The leaders of the congregation were: Frank Dyck (1975-1993), Abe Rempel (1979-1985, 1987-1991), Hans Sawatzky (1986), Rick Neufeld (1989-1992), Paul Wiebe (1994). The leader of the merged congregation was: Sieg Wall (1995-2001).
