This photo is of a Native Chief on an elephant. There are three people on the elephant. It is decorated with a ceremonial blanket. Others are standing on either side of the elephant. It appears to be in a courtyard. People are watching from the balcony. Helen Warkentin sent this post card to her parents (Rev. John Warkentin) and there is writing on the back in German Gothic script telling her parents that she has arrived safely in India.
