Appeared in the Hamilton Spectator, Women's section, May 28, 1970 along with the caption: "Perhaps no other Mennonite specialty is as well-known as the traditional Shoo-fly pies Mrs. Martin Fry of St. Jacobs is making for Saturday's day-long sale. Although hundred of women are baking, hungry buyers will find that by noon most of the food is 'all' - Pennsylvania Dutch for all gone - finished."
