Administrative history
The Mount Royal Mennonite Church (Saskatoon, Sask) began services in 1963 and formally organized in 1965 with 62 charter members. The congregation was founded through outreach by the Mayfair Mennonite Church. The first building was occupied in 1963, with a subsequent building program in 1988. Peter G. Sawatzky is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by Mayfair Mennonite Church. In 1968 there were 112 members. By 1972 the attendance had dropped considerably. However, the congregation survived this ordeal and thrived thereafter. In 1979 the membership was 140 and in 1987 it was 186. In 1988 the meeting house was expanded. The membership was 224 in 2000.

This fonds consists of bulletins, a congregational history, minutes, annual reports, a constitution, directories, newsletters, a congregational journal, and membership lists which pertain to the founding and development of the Mennonite congregation in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
