Triumph Place with the Bouff Theatre in Moscow

This Russian post card shows Triumph Place with Bouff Theatre as it looked at the time when the Mennonite Alternative Medical Corps were assigned to the Red Cross trains in Moscow. There are a few horse-drawn carriages, pedestrians and street cars on the wide street. This photograph also appears on page 93 of Mennonite Alternative Service in Russia by Lawrence Klippenstein and Jacob Dick.

Religious leaders discuss nuclear disarmament in Moscow

This is a photo of (left to right): Dr. Romesh Chandra, president of the World Peace Council; Vladimir Kuroyedov, chairman of the Council of Religious Affairs, USSR Council of Ministers; Patriarch Pimen, patriarch of Moscow and all of Russia; Patriarch Alexander Nikokai VI and Billy Graham. They are on the platform at the Moscow Interreligious Peace Conference. Above them can be seen part of the meeting's motto, translated into six languages, "Religious Workers to save the Sacred Gift of Life from Nuclear Catastrophe".
