Geschichte

MCC has long collected and preserved its organizational records in the interest of documenting and making its history accessible for both internal and external use. Until 1937 MCC records were maintained by MCC’s secretary-treasurer. In 1937 it was decided that MCC archival records ownership would remain with MCC, records would be maintained and stored in Akron, and archived material would be sent to and stored in the Goshen College Library building. In 2012, the MCC archival collection was removed from Goshen and into two main holdings: Akron, PA, United States, and Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Staff in both locations work together to preserve and provide access to MCC's archival records.

Zugangsbedingungen und Auflagen

To make general inquiries or to access records in MCC’s archival holdings, contact MCC archives staff. Because MCC records are housed in both Akron and Winnipeg, it is in researchers’ best interests to contact archives staff with research requests so staff can identify where relevant records are located and advise on how best to view them before an in-person visit.
Researchers will be required to complete an archives user agreement before accessing records. Please note that some records in the MCC archival holdings may be subject to access restrictions.
