This is a photo of teachers and pupils of the Marien Deaf and Dumb School, Tiege. They are posing against a brick building and fence. There are vines growing along the fence and over-hanging the door. The teachers have been identified as Andrey Suderman, fourth from left, back row; Henry Dirks, second from right, fourth row; second row (left to right from centre): Miss Malvina Dirks (herself deaf), W. W. Suderman (principal), H. Peters and Abram Wiebe and Paul Friesen (son of P. M. Friesen) on the right in the front row.
