History

The Society established "Book Club" in 1984 with a goal to provide good marketing of Mennonite related books. Notices were placed in various Mennonite periodicals. Within a year the book club membership was over 200. When the volunteers that provided the service for what was largely a mail order venture retired, the service was taken over by Gilbert Brandt of Brandt Family Enterprises, a private party, who continued to market Mennonite Books.
