Administrative history
- founded by the three oldest sons, Cornelius, Peter and Henry, of Henry E. Plett (1870-1953)
- in the summers they built houses and barns; in the winter they built sleighs
- they designed and patented a steel door latch
- built a large two storey shop in 1932 and developed a three-pronged business: manufacturing wooden cheese boxes, a blacksmithing service, and a grain crushing service.
Another company in called, Plett and Compnay, was operated by the younger sons of Henry E. Plett, Jacob and George. It was essentially a lumber enterprize. In 1948 Plett and Company purchased the interests of Plett Brothers when Cornelius, Peter and Henry moved to Mexico. Plett and Company dissolved its business in 1956.
