Alexander & Katharina Fast fonds

The fonds consists of a series of 43 letters written by Alexander John Fast & Katharina Penner between May 1920 and May 1921. The letters are compiled, transcribed and translated by Katharine (Fast) Harder, David Alexander (David) Fast & Frieda Fast. These, along with additional commentary, are organized into a volume called "Letters, The Correspondence between Alexander John Fast, also known as Sasha or Cama in the Russian alphabet, who lived in the Kuban, Russia, and Katharina Penner, known as Katja, who lived in Millerowo, Russia, dating May 1920 to the time of their wedding, 08 May 1921." From left to right : Peter Koehn who was from Waldheim, Molotschna, Cornelius Wiens from Woldemfuerst, Kuban Colony, Jacob Reimer from Ruekenau, Molotschna and Johann Fast from Alexanderfeld, Kuban Colony.

Kuban MB Church choir

This is a photo of the choir of the Mennonite Brethren Church on the Kuban. The choir leader, Identified as Abram DeFehr, is emigrating to Canada and meets with his choir in a farewell party, 1923. [HR 207]
