Biographical history
Teacher, historian, map maker (cartographer), author. Grew up in the Rosenheim district, west of Rosenfeld, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Worked with Helmut T. Huebert to produce the "Mennonite Historical Atlas." Schroeder authored "The Bergthal Colony."

This photo is of the escarpment, geological land formation, near the former Mennonite colony of Bergthal in the Ukraine known as Kamennaya Mogila. -- Note: this is a digital enlargement of the original. Schroeder has written more about this in "Preservings" June 2003.
