Opening of the Ebenezer Home for the Aged (Altona, Manitoba)

Negatives, 3, for photo and for photo used in CM 14-38-11. In the unused photo, the Honorable J. B. Carroll, Minister of Welfare, has just cut the ribbon for the one-story building. Ed Pokrant, vice- chair and former chair of the Ebenezer Board holds part of the ribbon. In the used neg., D. K. Friesen, chair of the opening ceremonies, stands to the right of Carroll and Pokrant. The third neg. shows some of the audience, mainly women (their hats are of interest), seated at the front of the building for the ceremony.
