This is a portrait of Abram Arthur Kroeker used for his obituary notice, that includes the Bible verse John 14:1 under the photo: "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me." The notice reads: In Loving Memory of Abram Arthur Kroeker, aged 88 years, beloved husband of Elizabeth Kroeker of the Donwood Personal Care Home, Winnipeg. Born December 6, 1892. Died February 5, 1981. Funeral Services: Monday, February 9, 1981, 10:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church; 3:00 p.m. at the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church. Clergymen: At North Kildonan, Rev. Roland Marsch, Rev. Frank C. Peters, Rev. Allan Labun. At Winkler, Rev. Allan Labun, Rev. John Goosen. Interment: The Family Plot in the Winkler Cemetery. Arrangements by Klassen Funeral Chapel Ltd. 1897 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Phone 338-0331. On the back is the Bible passage written out in full of Psalm 23.
