Files pertaining to the production of and distribution of a video series featuring stories of persons living out their Christian faith.  All God's People videos were 30 minutes long and were marketed to congregations, television broadcasters, information centers, and home viewers.  Researchers should note that the videos themselves are not in this record series.

Records pertaining to the production and distribution of brief radio messages produce by Mennonite Media  The radio spots, all of which run about one minute,  include seasonal messages and messages targeted at various groups (men, women, African Americans, etc.).  These files contain meeting minutes, news releases, reports, scripts, marketing information, and sponsorship information.

Minutes, reports, evaluations, newsletters, radio station correspondence, and miscellaneous records concerning a weekly women's evangelistic radio program that ran from 1950 through 1977.  Heart to Heart was succeeded by Your Time.

Contains project files from Mennonite Media's outreach via television, radio, and print.

Production files for various brief television public service announcements and other short programs.

A hodgepodge of phonographic albums created by Mennonite Media, featuring content from several radio shows, including the Mennonite Hour, as well as independent radio advertising spots and documentaries.  Most Mennonite Media broadcasts were recorded to audio tape and may be found in Series IV-13-004.

These records document Mennonite Media's efforts to promote its programs (including those in Japan, Russia, Latin America, Italy, and the United States) and raise funds to sustain them. Included are promotional letters and calendars, agency and program newsletters, and Home Bible Study mailings.

This series consists of television spots and scripts created by Mennonite Media to promote ethical behavior and the Mennonite faith, a documentary about James and Rowena Lark (James Lark was the first ordained African American Mennonite pastor), and three videos about American Mennonites and the 1991 Gulf War.

Files pertaining to the production of a hodgepodge of audiovisual programming for Mennonite audiences and agencies.  Records include correspondence, project proposals, scripts, marketing materials, and reports.

A small set of correspondence gathered and inteviews conducted by Hubert R. Pellman in preparation for writing the 25th anniversary book entitled Mennonite Broadcasts: The First 25 Years (1979).  Also includes a copy of the book.

Annual and other reports created by the  broadcasting department of the Mennonite Board of Missions.  Researchers will find in these reports overviews of the work of Mennonite Media Ministries and financial reports, Researchers should note, however, that the reports are incomplete:  1958-1959, 1964-1965, 1967, 1969-1970, 1979-1981.

Files documenting the production and distribution of Spanish-language evangelistic broadcasting produced by and for Mennonites.  Materials include correspondence with radio stations, meeting minutes, and reports pertaining to Luz y Veridad, Corizon a Corozon, and other Spanish-language radio programs.

These records are divided into two series: 

(1) Way to Life Files, 1963-1979

(2) Overseas Broadcasting Records, 1963-1994

These records document the work of JELAM (Junta Ejecutiva Latinoamericana de Audiciones Menonitas), and inter-Mennonite Latin American organization responsible for Mennonite broadcasting in Latin America and its promotion.  JELAM was formed in the early 1970s after consultations among the Mennonite Board of Missions, Mennonite Broadcasts, and Mennonite conferences in Latin America.  A predecessor organization, JAALAM (Junta de Asesores para America Latina a Audiciones Menonitas), was an advisory board under Mennonite Broadcasts from 1969 to the early 1970s.

Materials in this collection document this history of JELAM and includes correspondence and meeting minutes collected by JAALAM member Henry D. Weaver as well as offical records.  Among the official records are manuals, Bible studies and tracts, correspondence, newsletters, financial statements, radio and television scripts, photographs,and photograph records and TV video tapes of radio / TV spots.

Subject and correspondence files pertaining to Mennonite Media's work in Puerto Rico prior to the formation of JELAM (Junta Ejecutiva Latinoamericana de Audiciones Menonitas).  Materials include information on radio programs produced for the Puerto Rican audience, correspondence with radio stations  and Mennonite agencies, committee minutes, administrative records, financial reports, publicity materials for various programs, and a photograph album.
