This photo is of a room at the Fernheim Colony hospital in Paraguay. This particular room is mostly occupied by Aboriginal people. The reason for having separate rooms for Aboriginal peoples than for Paraguayans and Mennonites in this hospital is that Aboriginal patients generally tend to have more of their family members staying with them in the hospital. Thus, the rooms are designed with that dynamic in mind. Used in the book" Garden in the Wilderness", by Edgar Stoesz p. 138.
