Seagoing cowboys from Pennslvyania at a reunion

These men were livestock attendants aboard Plymouth Victory in 1947. In 1997, they attended a reunion with their wives. A small, fragmented set of personal papers primarily documenting Bennett's early career.  Materials include correspondence, speeches and presentations, photographs / slides (most poorly labeled) and miscellaneous materials.  Photographs and slides primarily depict Bennett's life in Akron as an MCC worker, as well as his relief work in France and Spain.

Caption in album: "Cowboys better halfs referred to as cow girls." Pictured are wives of the men who went as seagoing cowboys to Greece on the Plymouth Victory in 1947. The reunion took place at Refreshing Mountain Camp in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Marvin and Shirley Wyse from Ohio. Marin was a seagoing cowboy on the Plymouth Victory in 1947. The couple missed the 1984 reunion but included this photo in the 1984/85 directory. They are at the Alcazar castle in Segovia, Spain.
