A young man standing in front of an office of the Brethren Service Committee. Written on the back: "Taken while going on the ship to take cattle to Italy, Poland and China. Taken before the last trip after the long ride from home. I look kind of dragged out." He is likely one of the "seagoing cowboys" who volunteered to work aboard cattle boats shipping livestock to war-torn areas after the Second World War. Newport News, where most of these boats departed from, is the likely location.

Two patients in wheelchairs with three nurses standing behind. Caption in album reads, "Patients are taken to Brandon for surgery. Marie Neufeld had the privilege of escorting these two Eskimo patients - Lucassie and Paulosie."
