Early spring in Manitoba

A photo of the Voth and Klassen mothers and families, sitting outside in the yard of a farm house in Rivers, Manitoba. During the first years, these newly immigrated families worked as hired labour for various farmers in the area of Rivers and Marquette. First winter in Marquette

Moving house by train

During the first years of their life in Canada, the Voth and Klassen families worked as hired labour for various farmers in the area of Rivers and Marquette. In this photo (the date April 1926 is inscribed), they are pictured at a railway siding, moving house with all their belongings, presumably to another farm.
