Fernheim warehouse in Asuncion destroyed by fire, Paraguay

1964 label: “Fernheim Warehouse in Asuncion Distroyed (sic) by Fire: Watchman discovered that the building was engulfed in flames at 2:30A.M. on November 9. Fernheim’s cotton crop had been stored in Asuncion ready for sale. The fire was believed to have started by combustion of cotton bales. Earliest estimates indicate that nearly all contents of the warehouse were lost with the exception of the front office and its materials; loss placed at possibly $47,945. part of which is covered by insurance.”
