Miller travelled to this seaport on the Albatross in April 1921 in an attempt to enter Russia. The trip was unsuccessful and they had to return to Constantinople.

Miller travelled to this seaport on the Albatross in April 1921 in an attempt to enter Russia. The trip was unsuccessful and they had to return to Constantinople.

This is a photo of a kerchiefed lady and some other customers checking out the vegetables at the bazaar in the city of Vienna, Austria. According to the Illinois Mennonite Heritage, Vol. XXII, No. 4, 1995, p. 82, Arthur Slagel accompanied Vesta Zook and Vinora Weaver to Vienna in mid-October, 1921, on his way to Bulgaria to help some refugees.
