Cutting hay

A father and two children with a tractor. They appear to be cutting hay. The family is probably associated with Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church.

Farming operation at the Wintergruen estate

This photo is of 21 teams of oxen and horses seeding and ploughing the land on the Wintergruen estate owned by Jacob Goossen. Goossen is sitting in his buggy with his matching team of horses on the far right hand side of the photo. The teams are lined up in four rows and have stopped to pose for a photo. With each working team is a man guiding the team. The land is flat with a clump of trees in the distance on the right hand side. This photo is in a cardboard frame which is 43 x 31 cm and will be placed in the oversized area. This photo was used in the book "Daydreams & Nightmares", p. 18.

Field work

This is a photo of one man riding one of two horses and two men operating ploughs being pulled by the horses. There is a small house in the background and trees that border the field. This field is in the vicinity of Reimersdorf.

Arkadak farm scene

This photo is a reproduction of people on the [Heinrich Epp farm in Arkadak?] posing for a photo, stopping their work. 6 men with 6 horses are leading the horses around while pulling a stone to separate the grain from the chaff. One man stands on top of the pile of straw and grain with a pitch fork. They are threshing grain on a farm yard beside a barn with a long slopped roof. One woman is helping, holding a pitch fork and other woman is carrying a small child. - 2 copies.
